With one in three of the Holden Commodores now being sold a V8 it’s no surprise that the final outing for this now iconic vehicle is focused on the top of the food chain model, the VF Series II SS Redline. Set to close down for good in 2017 the Elizabeth assembly line has gone full gas on this final edition.
Initially little has changed since the last outing but look closely and you will notice a revised front bumper and also the addition of bonnet vents. The focal point being the engine though and it certainly impresses with the Corvette 6.2 litre V8 being used for the first time outside of US exports and the HSV models
If V8’s are your thing best get in quick as Holden have stated that it will be dropped from the next generation with the world going turbo charger crazy to keep in line with stricter emissions rulings.
Priced from $63419 in Australia you can expect this to rise in NZ with the outgoing motor being shifted for RRP $74,490 but mostly discounted.
