Vw Golf GTI Clubsport edition to launch soon
Its that time of year for some special models to help drive even more sales and no one loves this approach better than VW and its Golf Gti especially. Produced to arrive in time for the GTI’s 40th birthday Volkswagen have gone to town with the already impressive standard Golf Gti. The Clubsport model looks to be a mid range option sitting above the GTI and below the Golf R model with a basis towards track usage. The same EA888 engine is installed but it increases output to 261bhp with an added bonus ‘overboost’ mode that can provide and a Max output of 286bhp for 10 seconds. Visually the Clubsport gains gloss black modifications to the front and rear bumper that centre around agressive braking ducts with cooling vents along with overhanging rear wing. On the inside hot hatch fans will greatly appreciate the wrap around Recaro seats with tartan trip, red seat belts and an alcantara trimmed steering wheel. We are yet to see the pricing for New Zealand but with the price point over here being competative compared to some of the German brands this looks like a great choice. If you are considering a purchase why not get pre approved for non dealer finance through GACL and lock in a lower rate than the dealer will want to give you?
